yes it will work. your compression will be lower then the b16 though. you will have like 9.8xx:1 compression. so you wont be making as much power as a stock GSR, but i dont think you will loose all that much, you will probably gain some in the long run, just kinda like a 2 steps forward one step back kinda thing. you'll get more torque with the added displacement compared to a b16, but you
i have a built bottom b18c1 with block guard making 500+ at 18psi. it was making 400 before the block guard last year at 14psi. the guard was done this summer with new internals,i havent really drive alot this summer nor did i push it really hard. but i did drove much as possible and push the car. The guy who i bought the block from said it had been overbored .5 mm over but I went ahead and ordered standard size pistons and rings.
